If you have to have it on to check voltages or trace signal make sure you use an insulated probe. Always unplug your amp before you work on it. It’s good to have a variac so you can ramp up the voltages slowly while you check your work. Regarding voltages, always practice safe habits. All of them are great projects but the 5c1 and ac10 are my favorites. I’ve built 3 5c1 champs, a 5f2a Princeton, 18 watt lite iib and finally a vintage vox ac10 with some additional mods. The 1974x 18 watt is a great Marshall circuit but you can also look into something like a matchless spitfire circuit. If you’re looking for el84/vox/Marshall type amps trinity used to make a good kit. Fender Mustang Amps and Fuse Wikia is a FANDOM Music Community. The amp probably won’t sound bad but it will sound different. The problem with just removing the tone stack or tremolo from a circuit is that it affects the gain staging and voltages. Once those are successful you can move onto more complicated circuits. The 5c1 champ is also really cool and really simple. I’d start with a fender champ or tweed Princeton circuit. r/VintageRadios - great community focused on classic radios Check out our sister-subs /r/diysound for speakers and solid-state and /r/headphonemods for headphone DIY! r/amateurradio - for all your VHF and UHF tube topics r/electronics - for general electronics theory and reading r/budgetaudiophile - for rockin' on a budget r/audioengineering - pro sound and recording discussion r/toobamps - for all your guitar-related toob needs They are available for free download to help you with your amplifier repair and. r/vintageaudio - for great vintage equipment information Here is our collection of Tweed and Brown face era Fender Guitar Amp Schematics. r/AskElectronics - great engineering info Fender champ tube amp schematicFenderconcert6g12schematic. r/headphones - things that go over or into your ears Fender schematics, service manual or circuit diagram £1.80 ( 2.20 orSchematics, service manual, or circuit diagram for fender schematic £1. r/audiophile - commercial product discussion r/diyaudioswap - have parts, skills, or projects you'd like to sell or trade? r/diysound - for technical discussion and help r/diyaudio - the catch-all diy audio sub They are meant to ensure that /r/DIYtubes becomes a focused sub.
